Instead of “break a leg,” dancers say “Merde!” An evening of experimental, devised dance works that weave together stories of aging, adulting, grieving and growing, while navigating the messiest stages of life alongside our chosen family. Created by Megan Flynn & Teresa VanDenend Sorge, choreographers of Mothering & Mourning (Cincy Fringe 2023).

Artist Bio

Megan Flynn (NY) & Teresa VanDenend Sorge (OH) are professional dance artists, choreographers, educators, and long-time collaborators. They first started making work together in Philadelphia in 2013, while on faculty at Muhlenberg College. Their debut in the 2023 Cincy Fringe was described as: “Must-see storytelling with the body. This is the show that has moved me the most.” For “Le Spectacle,” they’ll be joined by Hannah Albin, Holly Cate, Rowan Salem, Nadia Ureña, and Rodney Veal.
